How to Apply for Team Events

Would you like to help us create better events? Do you want to, one day, host your own event on PikaNetwork? If so, you have come to the right place! This article contains everything you need to know about becoming part of Team Events on our server.

Overview

Team Events serves the purpose of creating Discord and in-game events for the players to enjoy. These events are announced by Event Managers on our Discord server. Members of the team receive a Discord role for their efforts.

Team Events applications are reviewed by Event Managers and Event Coordinators (team members hand-picked by the Event Managers). If you have any questions or want more information about why your application was denied, please make a support ticket HERE.

General Requirements

Regardless of which Team Events position you want to apply for, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Aged 13 or above
  • Being a member of our Discord server and having your account linked
  • Decent activity on all platforms
    • To get to know you better, we ask you to be active on Discord, on the forums and in-game.
    • You should also have decent experience of how the network operates, so you may not be accepted if you are a new player.
  • Detailed application (no plagiarism or use of AI allowed)
  • Good behaviour
  • Strong knowledge of our rules
    • Even if you get accepted, your rank may get removed if you break the rules.

Builder and Plugin Creator roles require a portfolio of past work to be considered.

Positions & Specific Requirements

There are 3 roles in Team Events which you can apply for: Builder, Plugin Creator and Quality Assurance.

Builder

  • Makes maps, spawns and other structures for events according to what is needed
  • Needs to know how to use the WorldEdit plugin (FAWE) to effectively create the builds
  • Must provide screenshots or videos of past builds to be considered

Plugin Creator

  • Codes plugins for events according to what is needed
  • Must provide code of past projects to be considered
    • The projects should be related to plugin development.
    • If part of the code is not yours, please specify which part(s) you wrote.

Quality Assurance

  • Playtests events
  • Provides opinions and feedback about events
  • Does anything else that is needed, excluding building and programming

If your application gets denied, you may reapply 2 weeks later.
