- If you feel like something written here should be changed, please suggest it HERE.
- If a change is made to the Competitive Rules of OP Skyblock mid-season, it would be announced in #changelogs channel on our Discord Server. However, if a change is made as part of a reset, then it would be announced with the reset announcement.
- If you still have any queries after reading this thread, please make a support ticket HERE.
- If you want to report an island for breaking a competition rule, you must report it in the Player Reports Section HERE.
- If you believe your island has been punished falsely, you can appeal for your island in the Punishment Appeals Section HERE.
- Reaching 10 total strikes during a season results in a disqualification from the Island Top competition. There also exist other penalties related to strikes which can be viewed in-game using /is warns.
The following table shows how many offences each rule has as well as what would be the punishment for each offence:
Cooperative Island Spam
- First Offence: 1 Strike
- Second Offence: 2 Strikes
- Third Offence: 3 Strikes
- Fourth Offence: 4 Strikes
Economy Script
- First Offence: 4 Strikes + Cheating Ban (for involved user)
- Second Offence: 6 Strikes + Cheating Ban (for involved user)
Server Abuse
- First Offence: 4 Strikes
- Second Offence: 8 Strikes
Island-Wide Cheating
- First Offence: 5 Strikes
- Second Offence: 6 Strikes
Boosting Value
- First Offence: 10 Strikes
Strike Evasion
- First Offence: 10 Strikes
After reaching 10 strikes, the island would be disqualified from island top, and it would not win any payouts for that specific season.
Cooperative Island Spam
Intentionally Flooding or Spamming the chat in excessive amounts and making it unreadable would result in an Island Punishment instead of a standard warning/mute. This rule is only applicable if the island is intentionally committing such actions. Exception for this rule is when the whole server is spamming same/similar things such as “L“ “LOL“ or “gg“.
- Is it Cooperative Island Spam if me and my Island member are casually talking and we say same thing such as “LOL“ 3 times? No, as mentioned in this rules' description that Cooperative Island Spam is only applicable if you and your island member(s) do it intentionally and in excessive amounts.
- Will it be Cooperative Island Spam if only 1 member from our Island spams? No, Cooperative means “involving mutual assistance“ i.e. this rule would only be applicable if 2 or more members from same Island intentionally spam or flood the chat.
- Would it be Cooperative Island Spam if 2+ people from an Island Spam mention someone in public chat? If they intentionally flood the public chat by spam mentioning someone in excessive amounts in public chat, then the punishment would be applicable.
- If someone gets banned and whole server is spamming “L“, would islands be struck for cooperative island spam? No, if whole server is saying same thing, then Cooperative Island Spam rule would not be applicable.
Using any form of modification (excluding automatic mob farms) to automatically grind resources for the island. This rule mainly focuses on bots which are used to automate grinding. This includes alt accounts i.e. commiting such actions from your alt to benefit your main island would also get your main island struck. AutoClicking is not part of this rule however it would still be a ban for Cheating.
- What kind of Modification would get my island struck for Economy Script? There are many kinds of modifications that can automate process of grinding, but one of the most common examples would be Baritone. Any other similar modification or bot that would automate process of grinding/gaining island crystals may also fall under this rule. You can always create a support ticket HERE if you're unsure about a modification falling under this rule and we would help you.
- Why is AutoClicker not part of the Economy Script Rule? Although AutoClicker can be used to grind resources for the island such as Enchanted Heads or Enchanted Drops, we do not consider AutoClicker as part of Economy Script. This is because AutoClicker is not a “bot“, rather a hack to automate process of grinding mobs. For Economy Script, we mainly focus on bots that automate process of obtaining resources.
- Why is Baritone part of Economy Script? This hack creates path for the user towards ore veins. There is no user input in this hack and the process of mining is automatic. This is why it would fall under Economy Script because it uses AI/Bot to mine for the user by creating paths.
Crashing, exploiting bugs, duping, or similar actions. Even if one person from your island commits the act, the entire island may be affected. This will result in the abuser getting banned, and your island receiving strikes and possibly disqualification (depending on the severity). Also includes using tracker bots (bots automated to track vanished staff).
- Why is entire Island affected even if one person from an Island does either of these acts? These actions are not to be taken lightly and even if one player from the island commits one of these, the entire island gains benefit from it. For Example, if someone on an island dupes money, the island takes benefit from the money by buying spawners and gaining island value. This is why we punish the whole island even if one player from the island does either of these actions.
- What does “depending on the severity“ mean? It means that we can also strike for first and second offence of Server Abuse to disqualify the island completely in some cases. It depends on how much the Dupe or Exploit has impacted the economy of the gamemode and how much it has impacted the gamemode. This is completely upon Team Skyblock and Developers to decide whether an island should receive both offences for Server Abuse together or only first offence.
- What are Tracker bots? Tracker bots are those bots which are used to track vanished staff members. Players may use these to avoid being Screenshared or similar. Even if one player uses a tracker bot to avoid being screenshared or similar, we would strike whole island for it.
Having 3 or more players from your island banned for cheating-related offences, screen share bans, ban evasions of cheating-related bans, or ban evasions of screen share bans. This also includes kicked players and cheating on alts.
- What does “This also includes kicked players and cheating on alts“ mean? It means if you keep inviting a cheater daily for stronghold or similar and kicking them afterwards, that will mean you are aware that they are cheating. Hence, that player whom you are inviting daily for strongholds would count towards a strike in case he gets banned. Players who are banned for Cheating/Screenshare-related offences might evade on alts. If the competing island invites that alt and kicks it some days before Ban Evasion punishment, it might also count because if you invite the alt of a banned player, it will mean that you are aware about them evading. However, in the end alts are investigated upon and it is on Team Skyblock to check each case and conclude if alts or kick players would count towards a strike or not.
- Are all Screenshare-related offences part of Island-wide Cheating Rule? Yes, all screenshare-related offences are part of this competition rule. This means that Refusing, Admitting, Attempting to Bypass, Streaming NSFW Content and Cheating itself would count towards a strike.
- Will my Island be struck if I kick a member some days before their punishment? No, your island will not be struck because you kicked the player some days before their punishment i.e. the player was not a part of your island when they got banned. However, if you kick your member during or after a screenshare, then they would count towards a strike.
Being involved in real money trades with anyone or buying spawners, money or ores from disqualified islands is disallowed. Buycraft trades are allowed, but we strongly encourage doing gold-related trades via the auction house, as it is possible to list items for gold there, therefore ensuring a safe trade. This rule also includes having accounts on multiple islands.
- Is Boosting Value rule divided into three parts? Yes, the boosting value rule is divided into three parts. It means that if you do either of these 3 things, you would be struck for Boosting Value.
- Real Money Trading - Trading in-game items for real money. This includes any type of item; not only competition related items which means anything you trade for real money would fall under this rule. Buy Craft Trades (Pika Giftcard/Gold Trades) are allowed but we prefer you using /ah for gold trades so you can avoid getting scammed by players.
- Having Multiple Accounts on Different Competing Islands - If a person has multiple accounts on different competing islands, then it would fall under boosting value. However, having Accounts/Alts on Non-Competing Islands wouldn't fall under this rule. Sharing Accounts with members of different competing Islands also falls under this rule i.e. if you share your account with someone who is part of a different competing island, both islands will be struck.
- Buying Money, Spawners & Ores from Disqualified Islands - Buying these 3 items from a disqualified island would get you struck. You can buy anything else except these 3 items from a disqualified island. You can sell anything to a disqualified island because the rule only mentions “buying“; buying and selling are different things.
- Is Sharing Accounts also considered Boosting Value? Sharing Accounts is partially considered Boosting Value i.e. Some part of this action could be considered Boosting Value. You can share your account with member(s) of your island. But if you share your account with member of a different competing island, then your island would be struck. This rule would only be applicable if you share your account with member of a different “competing“ island, which means you wouldn't be punished if you share your account with member(s) of a different non-competing island.
- Can I buy other things except Spawners, Ores & Money from Disqualified Islands? Yes, you can buy other things/items except these 3 from disqualified Islands.
- Can we buy Spawners, Money & Ores from Struck Islands? Yes, you can buy anything from a struck Island. Struck Island and Disqualified Island are different.
- Can we sell anything including Spawners, Money & Ores to Disqualified Islands? Yes, you can sell spawners, money & ores to disqualified islands but you cannot buy these 3 things from disqualified islands. Buying and selling are different.
Evading strikes by making a new island or having 2+ members leave the struck island and join another island. If it's only one player, the leader of the island will be asked to kick the user, and a punishment will follow if they fail to do so.
- If our Island leader is banned, can we create a new island and go for payouts? If your Island has no strikes but your leader is banned, you can create a new island and go for payouts.
- If our Island leader is banned and our Island has strikes as well, can we create a new island and go for payouts? No, you cannot create a new island and go for payouts if you are part of a struck island. If leader of an island is banned and the island you are a part of is struck, then you cannot go for payouts from a different island. The only way you can go for payouts in a situation like this is when your Island Leader gets unbanned or their ban expires.
- If our Island leader is banned and our Island has strikes as well, can we just leave the Island and create a new Island (without the intention to compete)? Yes, if you are part of a struck island with a banned Island leader, you can create a new island, but you cannot go for payouts. If you decide to go for payouts with the new Island, you would be warned to not compete (if only one player from previous struck island is going for payouts). If 2+ players from previous struck island are going for payouts i.e. they are competing, then the island would be struck without a warn.
- What if my island is not struck and I decide to join a different competing Island. If you were part of a competing island which had no strikes, then you have free will to join other islands but if you were part of a competing island with strikes, then we consider you a “struck member“ and you cannot be part of other competing islands except for the struck island you are already a part of.
- Why 1 member is a warn while 2+ members is direct strike? This is because sometimes Island Leaders may unintentionally invite 1 member of a struck island by mistake. However, 2 or more members makes it clear that they did this act intentionally and that they are planning to compete with people who were part of a struck island.
Competitive OP Skyblock Rules are sometimes punishable and sometimes not punishable. Following are some common scenarios where a rule would apply or wouldn't apply:
Cooperative Island SpamBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- Intentionally Flooding the chat by singing alphabets in an excessive amount (such as Player 1 says a and Player 2 says b and so on. This rule would only be applicable if the island floods the chat in excessive amounts.
- Sending same/similar messages in chat with the intention to flood the chat. Normal repetition is allowed but if your intention is to flood public chat, then the island would face a punishment.
Any other scenario that matches any one of these scenarios would be punishable for Island Cooperative Spam.
Not Punishable Scenario:- 2 members casually talking in public chat and sending a similar/same message such as “LOL“
- Whole Server saying “L“ to an island for being struck.
- Members of an island saying similar things without intention to flood.
Any other scenario that matches any one of these examples would not be punishable.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
Economy ScriptBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- AutoMiner (Baritone) - Mining Ores is an important part of OP Skyblock Competition as they give Crystal Points. Using AutoMiner to automate this process would be punishable. Both the User (using the hack) and the Island would face consequences for this.
- AutoFarm (Baritone) - Automatically Farming Custom Crops would also be punishable as custom crops also give Crystal Points. Using AutoFarm to automate this process would be punishable. Both the User (using the hack) and the Island would face consequences for this.
- Any other form of modification that would automate the process of obtaining resources - These types of cases are up to Team Skyblock to discuss about so we cannot assure you that this would always be punishable but if the modification automates the process of obtaining resources, it might be punishable.
This rule is only punishable if the automated process provides an advantage in competition and you actually get resources through the automated process.
Not Punishable Scenario:- AutoClicker - AutoClicker automates the process of Grinding Mobs, but AutoClicker does not fall under the Economy Script rule because it technically does not use a “bot“ to automate the process. However, the player who uses AutoClicker would still be banned for Cheating.
- Auto Armor - Although it is an automated process, it doesn't provide any competitive advantage to be punishable for Economy Script as you do not automatically obtain resources with this rather you use it for combat advantages. This hack would still be a Cheating ban for the person who uses it.
- AutoBreak - Some people may use this hack to do their “Break X Blocks“ quest. This would not be punishable for Economy Script because it doesn't provide any advantage in the competition and rather it only provides an advantage in quests. The person using this hack would still be banned for cheating.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
Server AbuseBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- Crashing - If you are part of a competing island and you crash the server, your island aswell as you would face the consequences for this.
- Lag Machines - Machines that cause the server to lag would be punishable if a player from competing island makes it.
- Duping - Duping resources to gain advantage over other islands is disallowed. If any one of the island members dupes and gets banned for Duping, the whole island would face a punishment.
- Tracker Bots - Bots that detect vanished staff would fall under this rule and will be punishable.
- Exploiting Bugs - Any Bug that would provide a competitive advantage would fall under this rule. However, each case depends upon Team Skyblock or Developers to punish for.
Even if one player from the island commits any of these actions, the whole island would get punished.
Not Punishable Scenario:- Illegal Trapping - If anyone from a competing island TP Traps someone, the island wouldn't face consequences however the player would be banned for Illegal Trapping/Killing Methods.
- Scamming - The island wouldn't face any consequences however the player would be banned.
- Chargebacking - Purchasing something from the store and then returning the payment or opening a PayPal dispute. This wouldn't be punishable for an island but player would still face the consequences.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
Island-Wide CheatingBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- Cheating-Related Bans - If someone is banned for a cheating related offence, they would also affect the competing island they were a part of. You can view Allowed and Disallowed Modifications HERE.
- Screenshare-Related Bans - If someone gets banned by a SS Verified or SS Manager for a screenshare related rule, that ban also affects their island. You can read more information about screensharing HERE.
- Ban Evasion of Screenshare/Cheating Related bans. - If someone gets banned for Cheating or Screenshare-Related Rule on their main account and they evade from an alt. They join an island from that alt. The island would face a consequence for inviting alt of a banned player.
- If someone joins an island from an alt and leaves the island some days before the ban evasion ban, Team Skyblock would be the one to decide whether the punishment would count towards strike or not i.e. this would not always be punishable but in most cases, it is deemed punishable.
If a player of a competing island gets banned for one of the following reasons mentioned above, then it will count as 1/3 bans for the competing island. Upon reaching 3/3 banned players, the island would be struck for Island-Wide Cheating
Not Punishable Scenario:- Illegal Trapping/Killing Methods - Although this rule would get the player punished, it wouldn't affect the island.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
Boosting ValueBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- Real Money Trading - Trading In-game items for Paypal, Real Money or other similar things would be considered Boosting Value. Buy Craft Trades (PikaNetwork Gold Trades) are allowed but we prefer you using /ah for gold trades so you can avoid getting scammed.
- Buying from Disqualified Islands - Buying Spawners, Money or Ores from Disqualified Islands would be punishable for Boosting Value. You can buy everything else except these 3 things from a disqualified island. However, Selling these 3 things to a Disqualified Island is allowed. Selling and Buying are different.
- Having Multiple Accounts on Different Competing Islands - If a player has multiple accounts, each being in different competing island then all the islands would be struck for Boosting Value. Your alts cannot be in a different Competing Island. However, if your alts are in non-competing islands then it's fine.
Except these 3 scenarios, boosting value rule wouldn't be applicable anywhere else. However, if a change is made to competitive rules, it would be announced by the Developer Team in the #changelogs channel on our discord server
Not Punishable Scenario:- Overpricing/Underpricing Things - You can buy things for any price you want. It is not disallowed by competitive rules.
- Gifting Items/Money to other Islands - You can gift anything you want to a different island if you or the island you are gifting to are not disqualified.
- Selling to Disqualified Islands - As per competitive rules you can sell things to Disqualified Islands but you cannot buy money, spawners or ores from them. Buying and Selling are different.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
Strike EvasionBy keeping the details mentioned above about this rule in mind, these would be some common scenarios where an island would be struck or wouldn't be struck for this rule:
Punishable Scenario:- Creating a New Island after being Struck on Previous one - Creating a New Island after being struck for any of the competitive rules. This means that if an island is struck and the island leader disbands the island and makes a new island, it would fall under Strike Evasion, and the island would be struck.
- Inviting Struck Members to your Island - Struck members are those members who were part of an island who received strikes. Even if the island had 1 strike, the player would be considered a struck member.
- If the island leader invites only 1 struck member, the island leader would be asked to kick that member. If the leader doesn't cooperate, a punishment would follow.
- If the island leader invites 2 or more struck members, the island who invited those struck members would be struck without us asking them to kick those members.
- Inviting Members who were part of a different competing Island but the island that they were a part of didn't have any strikes.
- Joining a non-competing Island while being a struck player - This means that you can join islands that are not participating in OP Skyblock Competition while being a struck player. A struck player is the one who was part of an island that had strikes between 1 to 9. However, if that island goes for payouts, then it would face consequences for Strike Evasion rule.
You can always make a support ticket HERE to ask why your report was denied in cases where it gets denied.
What is a Struck Island?
A Struck Island is an island which has a Strike Count between 1-9. If your island has strikes between 1 to 9, then your island would be considered a struck island.
What is a Disqualified Island?A disqualified island is an island which has received 10 strikes. If your island has 10 or more than 10 strikes, then your island would be considered a disqualified island.
Will my island be affected if we have lower number of strikes than 10?Yes, as we know that 10 strikes result in a disqualification but lower amounts such as 2 or 4 can also impact your island. The following list shows what is the impact on an island if it receives specific number of strikes:
- 1 Strike: No Impact
- 2 Strikes: 5% Value Reduction
- 3 Strikes: No Impact
- 4 Strikes: 10% Value Reduction
- 5 Strikes: 15% Value Reduction
- 6 Strikes: 20% Value Reduction
- 7 Strikes: 25% Value Reduction
- 8 Strikes: 30% Value Reduction
- 9 Strikes: No Impact
- 10 Strikes: Disqualification from Island Top
In this list, Value Reduction means that from your total island value, said percentage of value would be deducted.
How to view my Island's Strike Count? You can view your Island's Strike Count through following steps:
- Type /island top
- Hover over the player head at the bottom of GUI on left side of the Nether Star
- It will say “Strikes X/Y“. This is the Strike Count of your Island.
No, you cannot join a different competing island if you were part of a struck/disqualified island because you would be considered a struck player after being part of a struck island. However, you can still join non-competing islands to continue your skyblock journey.
What is a Competing Island?Any Island that has a position between Top 1 to Top 15 is considered a Competing Island.
What is a Non-Competing Island?Any Island that has a position from Top 16 afterwards is Non-Competing Island.
What is the difference between a Struck Island and a Disqualified Island? The difference between a Struck Island and Disqualified Island is that Struck Island can still win payouts however a Disqualified Island cannot.
Can I buy Money, Ores & Spawners from a Struck Island?Yes, you can buy Money, Ores & Spawners from a Struck Island however you cannot buy these 3 things from a Disqualified Island.
How to see how many banned players my Island has?You cannot view the number of banned players on your island through normal means. However, you can make a support ticket HERE and we would tell you the number of banned players your island has at that specific interval.
What are Payouts?OP Skyblock is a gamemode that has competition and winning the competition can give you rewards. Those rewards are known as payouts. Payouts are in form of PikaNetwork Iron Currency. Payouts in OP Skyblock are bi-weekly which means that they are announced every 2 weeks at our forums on this link.
How much Iron do we get from Payouts? Each bi-weekly payout contains Iron Currency worth differently from the previous one. Here is a list explaining the Payout Rewards:
- First Payout (Bi-Weekly)
- Top 1: 50€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 2: 30€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 3: 10€ worth of Iron Currency
- Second Payout (Bi-Weekly)
- Top 1: 60€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 2: 40€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 3: 15€ worth of Iron Currency
- Third Payout (Final)
- Top 1: 500€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 2: 350€ worth of Iron Currency
- Top 3: 200€ worth of Iron Currency
If you secure a position between Top 1-3, you would be able to get payouts as rewards.
I won payouts but didn't receive a reward, where to get my reward?Payouts are given to players shortly after the time of payouts ends. They are announced in Payouts section of forums, located HERE. If you don't receive payouts after 3 days of the said date, please make a Support Ticket HERE. Note to keep in mind is that only the Island Leader receives Iron Currency as payout, members of the island do not receive a payout.
Team Skyblock moderates the competition in OP Skyblock for the whole season. All 3 payouts (Bi-Weekly and Final) on OP Skyblock are monitored by them to keep the competition between islands fair. They strike islands for breaking competitive rules and Accept or Deny reports about competitive islands accordingly as well as Support Tickets and Island Appeals. The decisions made are collective which means that all (or at least majority) of the members of Team Skyblock agree on that decision. The competition is always aimed to be kept fair without biased decisions.
