Missing Reward from Coal Crate

I recently managed to get to L3 and got a coal crate key as a reward. However, after pressing right click while holding the key on the coal crate chest, I received a message stating that the I have opened the crate and yet I did not receive any reward in my inventory. Below are the screenshots:
